Our Mission & Vision
The Mission:
"Disciple youth towards a maturity of faith, strong Christian convictions, and a heart of service, so that we may strive to become more like Christ."
The Vision:
Our vision is seeing youth take leadership and ownership of their faith. We want to see youth live a vibrant and passioinate faith for God. Our youth are not the church of the future; they are the church of right now. We are to equip them, nurture them, and value them.
Our 10 Core Values:
1. Serving our community and providing an opportunity for youth to serve is a priority.
2. Plugging our youth back into the main structure of the church is vital. This means we will strive to plug our youth into areas of service within Dover Bethany so that they may take ownership in the life of the church.
3. Small groups are a key to the success of our ministry.
4. We will aim to provide opportunities for youth to go further in their faith buy utilizing classes like our "101 Class" at Dover Bethany.
5. We strive to provide an opportunity for youth to become members of Dover Bethany.
6. Wednesday night programming will become our discipleship focused time; we will worship, fellowship, and dive deeper into our faith.
7. Sunday School will become integrated into the youth ministry by coordinating teaching, thus allowing us to effectively teach on multiple levels though our curriculum.
8. We will be a relational ministry.
9. We will uphold all Safe Sanctuary and state mandated requirements to keep our youth and adults safe when working with volunteers.
10. We will utilize engaging and fresh activities to provide the youth with an experience that is both inviting and supports fellowship, while also providing an opportunity for youth to out reach to friends, family, and classmates to join in the ministry events.
